The Garmin Reactor 40 Mechanical/Retrofit/Solenoid Corepack without Display (010-00705-48) is one of the most responsive autopilot systems on the water. It brings marine technology once found only on commercial boats to everyday boaters, in a complete package designed for powerboats and sailboats.

This corepack is ideal for sailboats and powerboats with direct or cable-actuated steering systems, and it works with a wide variety of steering systems, whether hydraulic, cable drive, mechanical or solenoid. Just pair the GRF™ 10 with the drive system already on board. As a below-deck autopilot, it gives you that extra set of hands so you can safely attend to your sails, lines, winches and radios without worry.

Solid-State 9-Axis AHRS

Mount the Reactor 40 nearly anywhere, in any orientation. The advanced 9-axis AHRS greatly reduces heading error, course deviation, rudder movement and power consumption while keeping the ride comfortable for everyone on board.

Reacts to Conditions

The Reactor 40 reacts to the sea to hold your course, so even when the boat is pitching and rolling you can be confident you'll stay on your desired heading.

Minimal Commissioning and Calibration

Every autopilot needs commissioning and calibration. Garmin made the process as fast and easy as possible so you can get on the water sooner.

Full Integration with Garmin Chartplotters

With a compatible networked Garmin chartplotter, you can control the Reactor 40 from anywhere on the boat. It holds course in virtually all weather and wind conditions and smoothly runs a variety of preprogrammed trolling and search patterns. Add BlueChart® g2 Vision® charts (sold separately) for optional features such as Auto Guidance¹, which automatically steers GPS paths.

Optional Shadow Drive™ Technology

On hydraulic installations, this corepack can add optional patented Shadow Drive technology so you stay in control even when the autopilot is engaged. Turn the helm and the autopilot automatically disengages; hold a steady course and it automatically re-engages.

Choose from 3 Class Drives

Reactor 40 is available with 3 linear drives (sold separately) that can drive many different steering systems on most midsize to large vessels, depending on the installation. All Garmin linear drives include built-in rudder feedback sensing.

• Class A Drive Unit: up to 28,500 lbs of displacement
• Class B Compact Drive Unit: up to 48,400 lbs of displacement
• Class B Drive Unit: up to 79,000 lbs of displacement
