Our Story – Compleat Angler Marine
Every business has a beginning—but not all of them start with a plan.
Ours started with a brother and sister, a fishing trip, and a night that took an unexpected turn.
One hot summer weekend, they set out for a trip in the Bahamas. The conditions were perfect, the water was calm—but the fish just weren’t biting. As the sun began to set, they headed back to the dock empty-handed.
Frustrated and hungry, they followed the sound of music and laughter into the well-known Compleat Angler Bar. What began as a quick stop turned into a long night filled with stories, laughs, and more than a few rounds of tequila.
As they started planning their next day on the water, reality set in—they weren’t prepared. The only gear they had was suited for shallow water, and without access to the right bait and tackle, they were already at a disadvantage.
In that moment, an idea was born.
What if there was a place where anglers—especially those traveling from afar—could get exactly what they needed, when they needed it? No guesswork. No missed opportunities. Just the right gear, ready to go.
That idea became Compleat Angler.
For over 60 years, we’ve proudly served South Florida’s marine community—operating a marina, selling premium boats, and providing the bait, tackle, and support anglers rely on.
Today, we’re bringing that same foundation online.
Compleat Angler Marine was built on experience, driven by passion, and inspired by a little bit of luck. From OEM Yamaha outboards to parts and maintenance essentials, our goal is simple:
