The Garmin Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot without GHC 20 (010-00705-21) is one of the most responsive autopilot systems on the water. It brings marine technology once found only on commercial boats to everyday boaters, in a complete package designed for powerboats and sailboats.

This hydraulic corepack is ideal for every type of hydraulically steered powerboat, including inboards, outboards, stern drives and diesels, as well as hydraulically steered sailboats. Powerboat and sailing features come in every Reactor 40 corepack, including heading hold, wind hold, tack/jibe, step turns and more, so you simply choose the autopilot that matches your existing steering system.

Solid-State 9-Axis AHRS

The advanced 9-axis AHRS lets you mount the Reactor 40 nearly anywhere, in any orientation, and greatly reduces heading error, course deviation, rudder movement and power consumption, all while keeping the ride comfortable for everyone on board.

Reacts to Conditions

The Reactor 40 reacts to the sea to hold your course. Even when the boat is pitching and rolling, you can be confident it will keep you on your desired heading.

Minimal Commissioning and Calibration

Every autopilot needs commissioning and calibration. Garmin made the process as fast and easy as possible so you can get out on the water.

Full Integration with Garmin Chartplotters

Paired with a compatible networked Garmin chartplotter, you can control the Reactor 40 from anywhere on the boat. Besides holding course in virtually all weather and wind conditions, it smoothly runs a variety of preprogrammed trolling and search patterns. With BlueChart® g2 Vision® charts (sold separately), you also gain optional features such as Auto Guidance¹, which automatically steers GPS paths.

Shadow Drive Technology

Patented Shadow Drive technology means you're always in control. Turn the helm and the autopilot automatically disengages so you can maneuver freely; hold a steady course and it automatically re-engages.
