For cruisers and sailors who prefer a keypad and want built-in sonar and mapping, the Garmin GPSMAP 1242xsv Keyed Combo GPS/Fishfinder with Garmin Navionics+ (010-01741-50) is an all-in-one 12" chartplotter/sonar combo to guide the way. Its large, bright screen is paired with a keypad interface and multifunction control knob.

It has built-in support for Garmin CHIRP sonar plus CHIRP ClearVü™ and CHIRP SideVü™ scanning sonars. It also supports Panoptix™ and LiveScope™ sonar products and a wide range of other transducers (sold separately). Preloaded Garmin Navionics+™ coastal charts and inland mapping include Auto Guidance+™ technology, with support for optional Garmin Navionics Vision+™ premium content, and the combo includes Quickdraw Contours software and the Quickdraw Community on the Garmin Connect™ online network.

Built-in Wi-Fi® pairs with the free ActiveCaptain® app for the OneChart™ feature, smart notifications, Garmin Quickdraw™ Community data and more. The Garmin Marine Network lets multiple units share sonar, maps, user data, radar, IP cameras and live sonar, and NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183 connectivity supports autopilots, digital switching, weather, media, VHF, AIS and other sensors.
